Tuesday Tiny Writing Tip #2 – Proofreading

Proofreading – don’t do it right away. Leave your piece of work alone for a few days and when you get back to it, you’ll be more likely to notice typos that otherwise you’d ignore.

Why is that?

Because when the material is fresh in your mind, you’d expect to have written it in a certain way; you’d expect “that” to be spelled as “that” and not “taht” so your eyes will just glide over the error without noticing.
