Tuesday Tiny Writing Tip #43 – Adding Conflict

Tuesday Tiny Writing Tip #43 by Dilyana Kyoseva (CatMint5 on wattpad) - Adding Conflict

Have you ever read your story and thought that there’s a need for something to happen?

Well, here’s one way to make those uneventful chapters more exciting when you are editing/re-writing them: ask yourself “What can go wrong?”

The first thing that pops into mind just might be the best, but I suggest you write down several ideas and imagine how each would impact the story. Which would put your characters to the test and lead to the most entertaining development?

PS: This also works when you’ve reached a point in the story where you don’t know how to continue. Ask yourself “What can go wrong?” and write about that.
