Tuesday Tiny Writing Tip #63 – Chapter Themes


Here’s one good way to stay on track when writing a chapter: write a theme for it.

Ask yourself “What’s most important here? What I want the readers to feel?”, then write down the answers (“happiness”, “longing”, “fear”, “sadness”, “compassion”, “excitement”, etc.) and let those words guide you while you when you write a chapter or even a single scene.
