It’s here! The new edition of the Wattpad Block Party. Well, almost here; it starts next month.
WHAT IS THE WATTPAD BLOCK PARTY?
It’s on online event that USA Today bestselling author Kelly Anne Blount (@KellyAnneBlount)hosts twice a year on Wattpad. It’s run through a book with each chapter being a post by one of the authors featured in the event. The educational themes they cover are Wattpad, writing and editing tips, the publishing industry and their own experiences with it, marketing, author branding; the entertainment posts could be a one-shot, a bonus chapter or a sneak peek from their book, a character interview, and so on.
You can win anything from a Wattpad chapter dedication to an Amazon gift card to a signed copy of a novel.
The first time I was featured, I wrote a sneak peek from my then still unpublished (and currently ongoing) Wattpad story Sentiments & Reason; the second time I gave writing/cover creation/Wattpad tips; this time, on February 16th, I’ll be featured with a hybrid post: half-educational (Things to Consider When Creating Your Characters) and half- recreational (a character interview with Kennedy from my Dogs, Bats & Monkeys series).
February 16th Edit: My post has gone live! You can now read it here.
The link to my giveaway will be at the bottom of my Wattpad post. The things you could win are:
• a chapter dedication from a story of your choice (one-shots excluded)
• a shout-out on Wattpad
• two printable bookmarks – one with a quote and one with a curious fact about a character or a book of your choice from the ones I’ve written
WHEN IS THE WATTPAD BLOCK PARTY ON?
The Winter Edition III starts on February 1st and ends on February 28th.
WHO WILL BE FEATURED?
There are so many writers that the event features about half a dozen each day. The host – Kelly Anne Blount, goes without saying and I already told you my post is going up on February 16th. Other than that, you have some big names like Ali Novak (@Fallzswimmer), Kristin Jacques (@Krazydiamond), Noelle (@hepburnettes), Autumn (@Autumn_Breeze), Lindsey Summers (@DoNotMicrowave) and @DarknessAndLight, as well as some less experienced/popular authors, so you will get a lot of variety in the posts.
For the complete author list and posts schedule, check out the book where the event will be held and don’t forget to add it to your Wattpad Library or Reading List so you can be notified each time a new chapter (a.k.a. author post) is up.
