It’s Valentine’s Day so what better topic for a Tuesday Tiny Writing Tip than writing Romance?

So here’s today’s shortie: it’s important to develop the relationship between your characters, but don’t forget to also develop the characters as individuals.

So many times we see the focus of books being on establishing the romance between the leads, and that’s good, but unfortunately, in their efforts to build up the relationship, the authors sometimes forget to build up the characters. How are we to enjoy and experience the romance between two people if we know nothing about them or we know so little that they could be just a random person we met on the bus one day?
