In January I posted eight reviews. Eight! It’s the most reviews I’ve ever uploaded in a single month. With February being the month of love, I’ve decided to review one of my favorite books (it’s by Garrett Leigh) and I also have three ARCs which means that you can expect four reviews this month. So which are the books?
In the order they’ll be reviewed in…
Blood Brothers – Black Walker Warrior, Book 2
Author: Angela Stevens
Themes & Genres: Fantasy, Paranormal, Native American Mythology
With the Vargr Clan community in turmoil over the death of one of their own, the Lycans are in shock. The demonic Clizyati are gaining momentum and their Black Walker Warrior allies are no closer to finding these deadly killers. But one thing they know for sure, the Clizyati are back and a war everyone thought ended a century ago has been resurrected.
When unexpected visitors arrive at the Lycan commune, Rune and his siblings scramble to protect the clan. Determined to defend the lives of those that raised him, Rune puts his differences aside and joins forces with the Black Walker Warriors to rid the world of the Clizyati and avenge his brother’s death.

And if I Fall*
(*Previously published under the title The Revelations of Jude Connor)
Author: Robin Reardon
Themes & Genres: Gay Fiction, Psychological Thriller, Suspense
Jude Connor’s rural Idaho hometown is a place of strong values and high expectations. For those who fit into the local church’s narrow confines, there’s support and fellowship. For those who don’t, there’s ostracism in this life and damnation in the next.
Jude wants desperately to be saved–to believe with the fervor of the charismatic Reverend Amos King, whose sermons are filled with brimstone and righteousness. But every time Jude thinks he’s found the right path, there’s a fork in the road, and Truth seems to be in a different direction.
As much as Jude craves the certainty the church offers, he finds himself at odds with it. Without intentionally rebelling, he befriends Pearl Thornton, considered an unrepentant heathen; he craves the support of Gregory Hart, whose church standing is questionable; and the feelings he has for his friend Tim Olsen make him fear for his own soul. But then Reverend King offers Jude sanctuary, special guidance, and a path into the Light.
Will Reverend King be able to help Jude preserve his place in heaven? Or will the reverend’s own demons cause hell to swallow them both? The answer lies in Jude’s willingness to follow his own path–even if it leads him far from everything he’s known.

Author: Wendy Rathbone
Themes & Genres: LGBT, Sci-Fi, Gay Romance
WARNING: Mature Content
When the rescued slaves were first brought on board my ship, I saw only the one. The one they called Arcana. And though I realized the others had all suffered similar fates – fearsome torture and erotic conditioning that had estranged them from whoever they had once been – I focused on the one who met my eyes with what could only be interpreted as a defiantly seductive lure, while the others held their gazes downward, at their feet, at the floor, at the past which had shaped them and undoubtedly doomed them to any sort of normal life.
Not so with Arcana. That one had no shame in whatever had happened to him. In that one blinding moment when we saw one another for the first time, I knew he was as brash as he was beautiful, and I knew without any doubt that he had chosen me – though for what dark agenda, I could not have said.
My heart went cold and silent in my chest. My throat was dry. My breathing faltered and I was forever changed.
