Writing Wednesdays: 10 Ways to Show Your Character is Happy

Writing Wednesdays - 10 Ways to Show Your Character is Happy

We got a bit negative last month with 10 Ways to Show Your Character is Irritated; to balance things out, the first Writing Wednesdays post for April is going to be 10 Ways to Show Your Character is Happy.

Have them:

  1. whistle, hum a tune or sing
  2. do a little happy dance
  3. bounce on their toes
  4. skip
  5. approach other people (even if they aren’t the ones to usually initiate contact)
  6. compliment others
  7. talk about things that make them happy/that they think would make others happy
  8. spontaneously do something nice for another person
  9. appear more energized (rapid, confident, fluid motions)
  10. have a more open stance (arms and legs spread wide when they sit)
