About a week and a half ago, my grandfather got really sick. We took him to the ER, but he wasn’t getting better and today, he passed away. I’m sorry, but I’m in no state to be writing right now so for the next week or so, there will be no updates on Patreon or on Wattpad. I have a couple of pre-written posts that will go up on the blog, but that’s about it.
When I announced that I’d be featured in this year’s summer Wattpad Block Party, I told you that my post is on creating a fictional world. Well, that post is now up!
If you’d like to find the seven things you need to consider when you create a Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Paranormal world in order to make it as vivid and engaging as possible, check out my post; if you have any questions about what I’ve written, leave a comment and I’ll do my best to give you an informative answer.
As for my Wattpad Block Party giveaway: you have six days (until the end of August) to enter. The prizes are a chapter dedication, a shout-out on Wattpad (7K followers) and feedback on your blurb, cover and five chapters of your Wattpad story.
Have fun reading and good luck with the giveaway! 💙
It’s early July, half of 2018 has gone and I honestly don’t know where. I feel like it’s still April and May is just approaching. But nope: we are on month seven, so I’m going to share with you what the most read posts were for the first six months of this year, starting with the least read of them, which is…
Type of post: Author interview
About: The Cassie Tam Files is a LGBT Sci-Fi Mystery series and I not only had the pleasure to review Book 1 – Addict, but to also interview the author. In this interview, he gives one of the best pieces of advice for authors that I’ve read Continue reading
I thought I covered a lot of topics with my one hundred Tuesday Tiny Writing Tips (a list of all tips, sorted by topic is available here) and I still think that way. However, I sometimes get asked writing-related questions that are not covered by the TTWT. This is why I’m starting Writing Wednesdays – another series in which I’ll be sharing writing advice and answering your questions on the topic. Unlike with the TTWT, a WW post will not be uploaded every week, but you can expect it at least twice a month, starting next week. Another difference from my previous writing series is that the posts won’t always be short.
If you have a topic you want me to discuss, PM me on Wattpad or comment on this post.
Do you know what day it is today?
If you said “Saturday”, you are right; if you said “February 24th“, you are also correct. But… It’s also the day my Wattpad Block Party post goes live!
The Wattpad Block Party is hosted online by USA Today bestselling author Kelly Anne Blount. In it, Wattpad authors post guest pieces and host giveaways. My post is separated in two parts: My 5 Favorite Motivation and Productivity Tips and a sneak peek from a work-in-progress (Contemporary M/M Romance) that is not available anywhere yet. You can read my post here.
As for my giveaway…
I’m giving away a $5 Amazon gift card. Click here to enter.
I hope you’ll enjoy the sneak peek and find the tips useful. Good luck if you enter the giveaway!
Yeah, yeah, I know: two announcements in that many days. Maybe I should start a category just for them?
Anyway, today’s announcement doesn’t have to do with my blog. It has to do with an online event, and more specifically, a Wattpad online event.
The Wattpad Block Party is hosted twice a year on the Wattpad profile of USA Today bestselling author Kelly Anne Blount and comprises of posts by a variety of Wattpad authors, some published, others not. The posts include anything from writing tips to Continue reading
At the beginning of this month, I posted Blog Plans for 2018 (What’s In and What’s Out), announcing what I’ll be changing around this blog. One of those things was adding a new category – Fandom Stuff, and today I’d like to tell you what you can expect to see in it.
But first, let’s start with why I am creating it Continue reading
