What I Think about the Working Stiffs Anthology (Book Review)

It’s one of those rare occasions when I’m reviewing an anthology. This time, I’m going to do it a little bit differently: I’m going to start off with my usual format – blurb and basic info – and end with the buy links. The middle is what will change. First, I’m going to tell you my opinion on the anthology as a whole, then I’m going to give you the blurb to each story and share with you – briefly, in a couple of sentences – what I think of each short. Each story will also have its own individual rating.

Let’s get started!

7 Books I Read and Fell in Love with in 2019

If you’ve read my previous posts of this kind (2016, 2017, 2018), you already know how it goes:

  1. This is a list of books I read in 2019; not all of them came out that year (but most did);
  2. The books are listed in the order in which I’ve reviewed them, not by how much I loved them (I’ve also included their release dates according to Amazon);
  3. I’m sticking to one book per author, but I reserve the right to include in the HONORABLE MENTIONS another work by an author who is present in my FELL IN LOVE WITH section.

That’s it.

Without further ado, here are the seven books I FELL IN LOVE WITH in 2019, followed by five HONORABLE MENTIONS. We start off with Continue reading

7 Books I Read and Fell in Love with in 2018 (Plus 3 Honorable Mentions)

2019 is upon us, but 2018 is not forgotten. And more specifically: the books I read are not (entirely) forgotten.

7 books i read and fell in love with in 2018 (plus 3 honorable mentions)

Today I’m going to share with you the ones that left the biggest impression on me: my favorites and some honorable mentions. There are a couple of rules to my lists though:

  1. These are books that I’ve read in 2018, but didn’t necessarily come out that year (most did though).
  2. Only one book per author per list, however, I will include one of the authors in both lists. If you follow my reviews, I’m sure you can guess which author will be present in both places, although I’ve reviewed so many of her books (seven, actually) this year, that you might not be able to guess which two titles are going to be featured into this post.

And now, in the order in which I’ve posted my reviews, starting with the oldest one…
